Worthy Earth Festival

Holistic Management

The Background

Worthy Earth was started as a small market garden on my family farm in Hampshire by two brothers and their friend - Harrison Fannon, Lawrence Fannon and Cody Moir.

They have since grown it to 6 or more sites around the country, I lose count, and a wonderful festival just up the road from me.

When they started the market garden on my family’s cattle farm, they were all vegans and I had just started the carnivore diet, but we came together over our shared love of animals and the ecosystem upon which we all depend.

We respected each other and our different opinions. We didn’t need to tell each other what to eat.

The Talk

I talked about Ecosystem processes, how they function on the land and how we use our cattle as a tool to improve them!

This was fascinating to many of the attendees as they had never come across cattle as positive tool for ecological health.

I went into depth of how we measure this ecological improvement using a global metric called Ecological Outcome Verification.

Many good questions were asked and I visited multiple farms as a result!
